The association started its activities in 2006, and after organisational changes it launched
Greenways projects during 2012.
The Budapest Greenways initiative is one of these projects. The project has developed a
specific metropolitan green route methodology, identified and developed the green values of
Budapest, involved communities, NGOs and businesses in the work of the organisation and
set an example of responsible tourism
